WebDec 20, 2024 · The privacy warning is still unresolved for me. I can connect my iPhone to my home Xfinity Wi-Fi network, but only with the warning in place. Same for my spouse's iPhone. Not similar issues for other devices on the same network, e.g. laptop running Windows 11
WebNov 4, 2024 · If you have an alternative resolver configured - such as Google, Cloudflare etc - then any blocking of encrypted DNS (whether that be by the router, the ISP etc) means that exposure window is increased. The potential for exposure is not limited to the local network, although I can see why you might think that given Apple's ambiguous wording.
