I hate it and it really hurts but I haven't found anything that helps. I try Neosporin or mineral oil and it helps for a little (can't get grip) but I still end up causing damage. It could be that your ears are just a bit dry or perhaps it's soap or shampoo irritating them. It does feel good to relieve the itch though.
