The only ammo that will keyhole like that is Aguila 60 grain Sub-sonic unless you have another issue.....for 40 grain to do that I will agree that there is another issue...I've shot 500+ rounds at a time and never had any 40's keyhole even if gun and barrel were dirt dirty... The problem with this is the carbide ring at the base of the die also squeezes the bullet down inside the case making it smaller too. If you have thick brass it’s even worse. Think you'll run into that real quick if you try a77 smk or a 75 amax. See if you can find someone with a bore scope and have them take a look. Chinese trainees can have sick gun fights at boot camp to raise morale, and they can't kill each other either. 100% credible. This works with tank rounds as well, in case any Russian conscripts are here.

Or, the bullet is so soft and the velocity so high that the rifling strips the bullet, I mean boolit and the boolit doesn't get spun up.
